Player Membership Fee Structure
Badminton PEI now has 3 levels of player membership for its upcoming season. All players (juniors and adults) must be members in good standing with Badminton PEI in order to participate in tournaments. Membership must be paid before registering to PEI, Atlantic and National tournaments. All players contact information will be shared with Badminton Canada, in its central players database.
Player membership covers the complete season (period from September 1 to August 31).
Note: Membership can be upgraded from Regional to Competitive Provincial, or from Competitive Provincial to Competitive National at any time during the season.

Affiliated Clubs
All club members need to be BPEI members, season runs Sept. 1 - Aug. 31.
Benefits
- Promotion of the club on the Association website.
- Notification of tournaments and other events, via email.
- Adult members may participate and vote at the Annual General Meeting.
- Insurance through SportPEI for all players while they play all Badminton PEI sanctioned events/tournaments (according to their level of membership).
- PLUS: Insurance through SportPEI for all players while they play at the club,
- PLUS: Representation on the PEIBA Board of Directors, depending on the number of club players (1 representative up to 9 members, then 1 representative for each additional 10 members).
- Any club wishing to affiliate with the Association must indicate its desire to do so in a letter to the President of the Association setting out the names and the addresses of its officers.
- A letter of recognition from the Association shall constitute acceptance for membership pending appropriate payment of dues.
- Club must have all of its players becoming members of the Association. The club must calculate the affiliation fees due in respect of their members on the basis of membership rates set out by the PEIBA Board. At a minimum, players must have a regional membership ($10).
- Fees are payable in full no later than the 13th day of November each year for members registered up to that date and remitted promptly for members joining after that date.
- All players information (first name, last name, full address including postal code, phone number, date of birth, email, level of membership) must be sent to the Association, or added to the BCAN player database, and kept up to date as more players join the club.
